After a great deal of thought, I have decided to resign as Chairman of the ACA by the end of 2023 and  I want to organise an orderly transition.   If nobody either from the existing committee or from the wider membership steps forward to guide the organisation through the future, we must plan to wind  up the ACA and tidy up any loose ends.  These loose ends include: the ACA’s charitable status for tax purposes,  funding through involvement in the Seamoor lottery, the voluntary contribution to the Avon Patrol, the ACA website, what to do with residual funds, notification of collaborators and associates, etc.
