EVENTS DIARY – SUMMER 2011

The ACA Committee hopes that as many members as possible will be able to attend the following events, listed in chronological order:-

 

RIVER CLEAN UP – Saturday 18th June at 2.00pm: meet at farm gate leading to South Efford Marsh (nr S E House) to clear up the rubbish around ‘Albert’s camp’.        Open to all.

AVON ESTUARY FORUM – Tuesday 21st June, Thurlestone Parish Hall.  Open to all.

‘BALSAM PULLING’ – Wednesday 22nd June at 2.00pm: meet on AG side of Duke’s     Mill Creek with stout footwear, gloves, etc.   Open to all.

‘MOOR TO SEA’ EXHIBITION – Friday 15th July, 9.00 – 12.00am in AG Village Hall,      prize-giving and display of work by the four primary schools participating in our         competitive project (part-funded by the South Devon AONB) encouraging the    children’s engagement with the Avon and its wildlife.  Open to all.

BEACH CLEAN – Saturday 23rd July, 3.00-4.00pm on Cockleridge, Bigbury on Sea.      Open to all.

RAM ROAST Friday 29th July at 6.00pm: ‘Bring & Share’ BBQ at Folly Hill Farm.              More details imminent.  Members only.

‘Beachwatch’ – Saturday 17th September: 10.00am on Cockleridge, Bigbury on        Sea –  beach clean-up in association with Marine Conservation Society.  Open    to all.

WOODLAND PICNIC & WALK – Wednesday 28th September.  Meet near old        Loddiswell Station at 1130 for a riverside stroll through the woods and          picnic lunch.  Return to Avon Mill restaurant for tea.  Members only.
